Review on the Total Carp Magazine (Official Fan Page)(December)

It’s no surprise that carp angling has finally caught up with technology and the two work seamlessly, from bite indication to finfinders and even underwater cameras.
Well once again the bar has been raised. Introducing the new K9 Bluetooth-compatible bite alarms. Yes you heard us right, you can actually sync the alarm to our phone.
The alarms have on abundance of features, from the basics of sensitivity controls, tone and volume to the more advanced luxury extras like illuminating snag ears, a jack lead socket for illuminated hangers and a niffy HALO system. As the natural light diminishes, an illuminated ring appears in the front of the alarm, similar to that of night-lights but without the need for expensive and fiddly isotopes.
However, without doubt, the real selling point is the receiver and the Bluetooth compatibility. The receiver offers you the joy of changing tone and volume from the comfort of you bivvy, so there’s no need to get wet anymore. While also carrying out range tests and infoming you when you are going out of range, these alarms are loaded to the hilt. Both the receiver and downloadable app allow you to keep a closer eye on what’s actually happening. Not only will it identify which alarm is going but it will actually tell you the direction of the line and how far it has travelled, which is ideal for wary pick-ups or perhaps if you experience wind bleeps throughout the night, by simply looking, you know if it is a take.
Hopefully we will get the opportunity to take these out on the bank soon and put them through their paces, so keep an eye out for the exclusive review in a future issue.
