New Direction Tackle UK says that its new Bluetooth Alarm Set will take fishing to a totally new level,featuring multiple high-end, but userfriendly features that will make it attractive to everyone.
The alarm set comes in three separate modules – the bite alarms with remote control function, the Bluetooth receiver and a full-featured app. The app can be downloaded from the Apple or Google play stores.
The following is an independent review of the product from Mike Madeley. He writes: “Every now and then something new comes along and with the way that technology is advancing, it wasn’t too long before a new bite alarm hit the market with some smart new advancements. The New Direction smart Bluetooth-capable bite alarm is oneof them.
“First of all, it comes in a handy, solid presentation box,keeping the alarms and receiver safe in transit. Extremely well-built and completely waterproof, the alarms are easy on the eye, tidy and compact.
“On the front there is a Night Light that can be set to suit your own preferences. The dials are made of aluminium with an enclosed roller wheel.
“The two buttons on the side switch on the alarm sets and a mute button enables you to set your bobbins without the alarm sounding for 30 seconds.
“Snag ears complement the alarms. These emit a small light colour. These are coordinated for each alarm so that you will never miss a bite.
“Another good feature is the range test. If you feel the need to leave your rods, you can check from the receiver that you are always getting a signal and across a range of 200 metres.
“With the compact receiver you can control all the alarm functions from the comfort of your bivvy – volume, sensitivity, night light adjustment and dropbacks. Follow the instructions and it is very simple to adjust each alarm.
“The Bluetooth function is fantastic. You simply download the App – either Android or iPhone – and sync the alarms to your smartphone, where you have full control of all the functions. The graphics are also great.
“To sum up, these alarms are very neat. They look completely different and have new features that are easy to use and which rival anything else on the market.”
